Bonjour de Paris!
Hard to believe that it’s already December. My husband & I moved into a new apartment on Valentine’s Day, so this is the first holiday season in our new home. I put up a few decorations that Mom made. Seeing her Santas and stockings makes me happy. It’s been a challenging autumn, so I’m glad that the season will change.
We lived in our former apartment for twenty five years. It was two blocks from a major concert hall, but I never went to a single one. (I might be too much of a homebody!) To make up for lost time, this month, Eddy and I attended a Candlelight Concert on the Eiffel Tower. The quartet played the songs of Queen, and it was fabulous!

We also had a great time at Hello, Dolly! at the Lido on the Champs-Elysées. I always loved the song by Bobby Darin and was excited to finally see the musical.

Earlier this year, I did a giveaway for readers of this newsletter - maps featuring the settings of my novels The Paris Library and Miss Morgan’s Book Brigade, created by Parisian artist Sonja Bajic. I was thrilled to hear back from Pat D in Connecticut, who kindly framed the artwork and sent photos!

If you are looking for gifts for the holidays, I hope that you will consider giving books in general and this novel specifically! ; - ) Books make great stocking stuffers.
What will you be reading over the holidays? I just finished The Resistance Painter by Kath Jonathan, a gripping dual-timeline. To learn more, read my Goodreads review.
My buddy read with Eddy is Everyone on this Train is a Suspect, which we’ll be reading on a train. I prefer the French cover. What about you?
Will you celebrate at home or do you have travel plans? I hope that you will have a wonderful holiday season and a happy, healthy New Year!
Thank you for reading my newsletter and for taking an interest in my work. Merci beaucoup!
My best,
Janet
Happy Holidays to you and Eddy in your new fabulous apartment! I hope Santa will be generous; those are some stockings to fill!
Happy Holidays Janet! Cheers to your new apartment and new opportunity to fill it with love, traditions, and memories. I will be framing both my Paris Library map and the France Food map I ordered from Sonja soon, it’s so hard to make time for simple necessities when I work full time too. But life is about prioritizing what matters most, and whatever delights my heart is now more precious to me. I’ll share my art from you and Sonja soon. Blessings to you and yours, I hope to see you in Paris one day, maybe next fall during my 60th bday celebration! Sasha
