I love seeing Jessie Carson's photo! Somehow her strong features and determined gaze help explain her character. Looking forward to The Red Wheelbarrow event in June!
I finished the book last week and loved learning about this committee! This is why historical fiction is my favorite genre. I enjoy learning about events and especially women who never seem to make it into regular history books.
Thank you for reading the book and my newsletter! I'm like you, I love learning about incredible women when I read. The real-life characters were incredible!
Thank you for bringing these people and experiences in history to life! I didn’t connect Morgan at first, but when I recently saw a photo of the Morgan Library in New York, I quickly double checked! I suppose I should continue to research whether I am related to Librarian Reeder (family name) in the Paris library.
It would be incredible if you were related to Dorothy Reeder! Thank you for your kind words. It was a privilege for me to research these incredible women.

Me, too! She has a steely yet dreamy gaze. Looking forward to seeing you soon. xo
