Great Newletter. My hubby and I have just arrive home from hols and visited Paris - a bucket list tick for me. I carried Miss Morgan with me intending to finally read it but got so busy only read 10 pages. Am now inspired by your newsletter to pull my finger out and get it done. Looking forward to it very much
Thank you for your kind words about the newsletter. I'm so glad that you crossed something off your bucket list! I hope you had a great time. Thank you for your kind words about my newsletter. Mary Needham is absolutely incredible. I hope that you will enjoy Miss Morgan's Book Brigade. Happy reading!
Thank you so much! I am excited about my CARD series. They are such incredible women and their stories deserve to be known. I appreciate your support, here and on FB! x
Thanks Janet, I love the bio on a special lady. We have no idea the hardships others before us have endured. I am a WWII history junkie especially anything about women's roles.
Thank you so much, Betty! Her autobiography is fascinating, and her voice really comes through. I quoted her during our presentation together - she was exhausted, but there was an air raid drill, and "Kit was upon me like a Boston policeman!... I did get up!" - that was Mary Needham. Her book was published in 1936, and she predicted WWII.
Love what you learned of Mary and "Big Anne" and love that you shared it. 25 things to do or try... I like this idea! Great newsletter, and happy new year to you.
Many thanks! I really enjoyed reading Mary's experiences and am glad that you did, too. She is very inspiring. The 25 things came from here: https://ouendag.substack.com/p/2025-what-will-you-do-with-your-8760 And I think she was inspired by Gretchen Rubin. I hope that you will give it a go!
Wow! January was a great newsletter! I love your table and chairs! Happy 2025!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad that you enjoyed it.
